Kirsten turns 10 years old tomorrow, June 19.

We thank God for her. She is such a blessing.

She is very artistic, loves to take photos, loves to read, has a compassionate heart. We are blessed by God to have her as our daughter.

Psalm 115: 12 The LORD remembers us and will bless us:.... he will bless those who fear the LORD-- small and great alike. May the LORD make you increase,.... May you be blessed by the LORD, the Maker of heaven and earth.

Our Sons

James and Jerard 'playing!'

This morning James was standing on the walker while Jerard was sitting in it!

James standing on the walker.

James has become very mobile and now pulls himself up to standing, can crawl up stairs, 'talks' alot! He is a fun kid.

Jerard continues to stay healthy and is gaining in strength daily. He is verbalizing more. Sometimes he sounds like his brother! If I'm not looking at who is making sounds I'll think it's James and it's actually Jerard. It's a blessing to see all his improvements.

Ben wants to serve in the armed forces when he gets older!

Ben is a great 'kuya'! (Older brother).
He wants to be like his cousin and serve in the armed forces when he gets older. He loves to play with his toy weapons!

For the blessing of sons, I thank you, Father.

Psalm 127:3 Sons are a heritage from the LORD, children a reward from him.

At The Beach

James and Jerard had their first day at the beach yesterday.
It's been my desire to take the babies to the beach for quite a while, but with all Jerard's surgeries and sickness it wasn't possible.
Thankfully, gratefully, Jerard is healthy and doing well now.
We enjoyed a wonderful time at the beach!

Jerard and Ben. Friends were at the beach who had a baby floaty for us to use while they were there. Both boys enjoyed floating in that baby seat. Jerard seemed to really relax floating in the water. He smiled and looked very content floating in that seat.

Family Fun Day at Church

Some friends of Kirsten's during Family Fun Day at church.

The church that we are attending here in the Philippines, Christ Fellowship Church, had a wonderful family fun day today on the day of Philippine Independence. The day was all about sports and games. All families of the church were assigned to one of four teams, red, blue, yellow, or green. Tee shirts were printed for each of the teams -- we were on the red team.

The day opened at 6:30 AM with opening ceremonies consisting of a prayer, short message from the pastor, the Philippine national anthem, and the lighting of the torch ceremony. Competition proceeded right away with a banner raising race immediately followed by the cheer-leading competition.

Speaking of cheer-leading, we were astounded with the energy and aptitude that each team had in putting together their own dance/cheer-leading routines. You can download a movie of our team's performance here (42 MB, 7 minutes). If you look closely, you will see Mikayla -- she is the girl with the blonde hair and the white skin . Note this: that this whole routine was put together from scratch yesterday in about 4 hours by the group. There is a completely different attitude toward public performance here as compared to the US -- nearly everyone loves to get involved and perform.
