(go to next post for the continuation.....)

Praying James

James has a very tender heart towards prayer.
The other night Mikayla and I were sitting on the couch talking.
James sits down on the couch too and asks us to please be quiet, he needs to have his quiet time. Then he folds his hands together and starts thanking Jesus for His blessings.....melt my momma's heart!!!!!

James praying on our bed.

Ben's Basketball

Ben enjoyed the elementary after-school basketball season.
But the season is over now and he is concentrating his efforts
on learning skills needed to test for his blue belt in karate.

Playing a game.

Jerard on "Aunt" Ruth's lap at the game.

American Pop Forever

....musical Friday ended with the high school vocal and band presenting a wonderful production titled "American Pop Forever"

It was a marvelous program of music from the 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's and 90's. Mikayla had a great time singing in the production!

Athletes

One thing I really appreciate about Faith Academy is they do not stress sports over academics - but they do stress Christ-likeness within both academics and athletics.

Recently the annual sports award ceremony was held.
Both Kirsten and Mikayla played on the varsity soccer team.

1 Corinthians 9: 24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners
run, but only one receives the prize? So run that you may obtain it. 25 Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable wreath, but we an imperishable.
