Tired

The other day, James came home from his summer kindergarten program and fell asleep on our bed. He loves to cover his face with his Tigger when he sleeps!

Summer in the Philippines is April and May.

Family Fun

Coming to Michigan

Kirsten, Mikayla, and I will be flying to Michigan on July 8 to get Mikayla prepared for college.

She'll be going to Covenant College in Lookout Mountain Georgia!
Our tickets are purchased for this trip and we look forward to time in the states helping Mikayla transition to life in the USA and college.
Kirsten and I will be flying back to Philippines on September 7.

Pray James' adoption paperwork will be completed in a timely manner so that all of us can return to the USA around Christmas for a one year furlough.

Pray for our safe travels. Thanks!

Heat Wave

Even for the Philippines it is HOT lately.....
At the moment, as I post this blog, it is 4:15 a.m. and 83 degrees with 85% humidity. The 'real feel' is 93 degrees.

It is supposed to get to 95 degrees F today but the 'real feel' will be in the 100's.

"We're having a heat wave
A tropical heat wave
The temperature's rising
It isn't surprising"

Lettered Athletes

Mikayla and Kirsten were awarded their letters for playing in athletics this year.
Mikayla also won an award for Academic Athlete due to keeping a high grade point average while playing volleyball and soccer.

1 Corinthians 9
24 Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 25 Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. 26 Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air. 27 No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize.
