1 More Day!!!!!!!!

Yeah! Praise God! Our SRC paperwork we need to leave the country and come back in arrived today around 11 a.m.!
We have our tickets, passports, paperwork needed....we are packed....ready to go!

Our friend and helper Arlene is staying here with James and Jerard while we are gone.

Pray that Kurt will feel better. He still has a fever and feels stuffed up.
I have tylenol and zyrtec for him for our trip.

See many of you soon!

8th Grade Graduation

Mikayla has graduated from 8th grade Friday evening! I'd post pictures but our download 'thingy' is packed....so just know she looked very pretty.

We will be starting our journey to the states on Saturday at 3:15pm local time here (which for Michiganders is 3:15a.m. Saturday morning).
We will be arriving in Detroit at 11:30p.m. Sunday. Kurt's brother and his wife will be picking us up since they live fairly close to the airport.
We are looking forward to seeing our family and friends in the USA.

Please pray for safe travels and for Kurt to feel better.

Pray for our friend Arlene and for James and Jerard to have a safe, healthy 8 weeks while we are gone. We will miss them.

Thanks.

3 days and counting.....

Well, our paperwork is supposed to show up on Friday.

In the meantime Kurt has gotten sick with a fever (100 - 101.5) and doesn't feel well. He's been sleeping most of today.

Please pray our paperwork really does show up on Friday.
Pray Kurt gets well. Pray that Mikayla, Kirsten, Ben, and/or me do not get sick!

The girls are winding up their last week in school with many exams and projects, so they've been busy.

Ben and I have taken a lighter load for schooling this week to devote more time to packing, buying supplies for our helper, James, and Jerard to have while we are gone, etc.

Friday night is an end-of-year ceremony at the school to celebrate the 8th graders graduating Middle School and moving on to High School. They have an 'after-ceremony' party til midnight then.

Knowing that God is the one who ordains all the circumstances of our lives, I am learning to rest in His love and care. What good would fretting do anyway?

Matthew 6:27- 34 excerpts...
"And which of you by being anxious can add a single hour to his span of life?.... Therefore do not be anxious,... your heavenly Father knows that you need...but seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you. Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble."

6 more days!

We are counting down the days til we fly to the USA.

We are looking forward to reconnecting with family, friends and supporters in the USA.

We also hope to stock up on some items that are hard to get here.

Please pray for us as we travel, speak at churches, spend time with family and friends.

Pray for James and Jerard, too. Since they are still foster children we cannot bring them with us on this trip. Our friend and helper, Arlene, will be staying with the boys at our home. We know they will be well taken care of, but we will miss them.

Tom Sawyer

The Middle School along with 5th graders recently put on 'Tom Sawyer' play.
Mikayla participated in ticket sales and make up.
Here she is having fun with Mr. Saint prior to the play.

Kirsten was Sally. She did a great job. She said she was really nervous but she spoke her lines well and loud!

The play was very well done. I am thankful for these opportunities for the kids who attend Faith Academy Mindanao!
