Jerard's Gift

Life with a disabled child holds many challenges.
But a joy for me, as a Mom, is to see my two 'normal' sons take such good care of their brother.

James pushing Jerard in the stroller.

Ben carrying Jerard down for breakfast.
I see both James and Ben growing in compassion and becoming compassionate care givers because of Jerard. I know that my sons will be better men because of their relationship with their disabled brother.
Praise God for His mercies and grace.

2Peter 1
5 For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue, and virtue with knowledge, 6 and knowledge
with self-control, and self-control with steadfastness, and steadfastness with godliness, 7 and godliness with brotherly affection, and brotherly affection with love. 8 For if these qualities are yours and are increasing, they keep you from
being ineffective or unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord
Jesus Christ.

Kurt's Home

Kurt arrived safely home this morning. Thanks for your prayers for him and his trip.

Blessings from Our Home Church

Kurt was able to share at our sending church, Tyrone Covenant Presbyterian Church in Fenton, MI, on Sunday. He skyped with me what a huge blessing it was to him.
Tyrone posted this pic at Facebook and I share it here. It is so uplifting to see the deaconate praying for my husband and our family and ministry here. This picture is so encouraging to me.

1 Thess 5:11Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing.

Kurt's Snow Adventure

As many of you know, Kurt is in the USA. He'd gone for some meetings in North Carolina but is now in Michigan visiting relatives, friends and supporters.
While there, he has sent me two photos of the day his brother and our niece took him out snowboarding!

Kurt snowboarding for the first time in his life!

Hannah and Kurt! They only went down the hill twice because then
Hannah fell and broke her arm! HUGS to you, Hannah!!!!

Brotherly Love

Hebrews 13:1 Let brotherly love continue.

2 Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby

some have entertained angels unawares...
