Adoption Process Update December 2011

Well, we obtained all the papers that were on our list to obtain for filing for adoption of James and Jerard......

went to Department of Social Welfare and Development to turn in all the papers so they could file the request for adoption in Manila......

only to be told we need a few more documents....most of them are easy to obtain.....

but one, requires us to make an appointment with the US Embassy in Manila, fly up there for the day to get a notarized affidavit from the US Embassy, then fly back here.............

It could seem like a hassle, but it is not.......James and Jerard are sons of my heart....and I'll do what I need to for them to also be legally my sons.....

just...............

Pray for us to obtain the funding for this unexpected trip up there....

.....I find myself thinking often of the unselfish love of my Heavenly Father to "go through the hassle" of sending His Son, Jesus, here to live as a man in this sin-soaked world.....wouldn't it have been easier to send a flood and wipe us all out?.....
but, oh.....the great, great love He has for us......love unending......

Love divine, all loves excelling,
Joy of heaven to earth come down;
Fix in us thy humble dwelling;
All thy faithful mercies crown!
Jesus, Thou art all compassion,
Pure unbounded love Thou art;
Visit us with Thy salvation;
Enter every trembling heart.

Breathe, O breathe Thy loving Spirit,
Into every troubled breast!
Let us all in Thee inherit;
Let us find that second rest.
Take away our bent to sinning;
Alpha and Omega be;
End of faith, as its Beginning,
Set our hearts at liberty.

Come, Almighty to deliver,
Let us all Thy life receive;
Suddenly return and never,
Never more Thy temples leave.
Thee we would be always blessing,
Serve Thee as Thy hosts above,
Pray and praise Thee without ceasing,
Glory in Thy perfect love.

Finish, then, Thy new creation;
Pure and spotless let us be.
Let us see Thy great salvation
Perfectly restored in Thee;
Changed from glory into glory,
Till in heaven we take our place,
Till we cast our crowns before Thee,
Lost in wonder, love, and praise.
