While Kirsten was at ISAC in Subic, near Manila, we were invited to go on a boat trip with friends. It was a beautiful day of sun, breeze, enjoying friendship, swimming, snorkeling, good food, etc. I love being on the ocean. It is so relaxing and invigorating!

ISAC Update 2014

The girls soccer team played well but placing in the top three eluded them in the field of 7 international schools.
A friend who went to ISAC got some great shots of the team and Kirsten playing.

ISAC March 2014

On Wednesday the high school girls soccer team and boys basketball team travel to Subic for the International School Athletic Competition. This tournament is being hosted by Brent International School in Subic.
This year, the tournament will be on the web. Want to see how the girls soccer team, which includes Kirsten, is doing? Check out the website - http://www.brentsubic.edu.ph/isac/

Pray for safe travels for the players, coaches and families going to watch.

Prayerful Morning Hymn

This hymn is a wonderful prayer to sing at the start of every day.

May The Mind Of Christ, My Saviour
words by Katie Barclay Wilkinson (1859-1928)

May the mind of Christ, my Savior,
Live in me from day to day,
By His love and power controlling
All I do and say.

May the Word of God dwell richly
In my heart from hour to hour,
So that all may see I triumph
Only through His power.

May the peace of God my Father
Rule my life in everything,
That I may be calm to comfort
Sick and sorrowing.

May the love of Jesus fill me
As the waters fill the sea;
Him exalting, self abasing,
This is victory.

May I run the race before me,
Strong and brave to face the foe,
Looking only unto Jesus
As I onward go.

May His beauty rest upon me,
As I seek the lost to win,
And may they forget the channel,
Seeing only Him.

Track and Field Day 2014

Every year the school our kids attend has a track and field day at the end of third quarter.
And every year as I watch our kids, the line from this hymn runs through my head as I watch races being run, etc.

"May I run the race before me, strong and brave to face the foe
looking only unto Jesus as I onward go.

Hebrews 12:1-3 12 Therefore, since we are surrounded

by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside

every weight, and sin which clings so closely, and let us run

with endurance the race that is set before us, looking to

Jesus, the founder and perfecter of our faith, who for the joy
that was set before him endured the cross, despising the

shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.

Consider him who endured from sinners such hostility
against himself, so that you may not grow weary or
fainthearted.
