Back in Davao

We are back!

The air flights were turbulent.

When we arrived in Davao Ben was stopped at quarrintine due to a slightly elevated fever. (99F), He and Kurt had to go to a local hospital for a throat swab to see if its that H1N1 flu. So as I blog this I have no news on what the dr. at the hospital is saying Ben has.
As a Mom I can tell you that Ben has a bad case of being overly tired from 2 days of travel and not sleeping well on the plane and all he really needs is to come home and sleep.

Pray for us. We are glad to be back. It is so good to see James and Jerard. James clapped when he saw us at the gate.

We are also tired and this having to take Ben to ER for a slightly elevated temp seems a bit over kill to me.....

After a good night's sleep things will look much better.

Flying to Davao

We will be leaving my sister's house in a couple hours to head to the airport.
Our time in the US has been good: busy but refreshing.

The kids start school August 6th. We are looking forward to getting back to our boys!

Mikayla has no fever and no voice either!

Pray our travels are safe. Next time I blog we will be in Davao!

Pray for our trip

Hi, please pray our trip back to Davao goes well. Mikayla went to bed last night with a fever and sore throat. I am praying she is well today before we board the plane at 5:30p; (which is 6:30a Friday morning Davao time).
We are looking forward to seeing James and Jerard again very soon!

Last Morning in Texas

Today we will be boarding our plane to head back to Davao.
We have enjoyed a wonderful visit here in Texas with my sister, Sarah.

Houston sky line

We visited the Houston Space Center. It is amazing to see how big the engines are for the space craft.

My sister took us to Kemah for supper. It is a boardwalk area by the bay. We had good food and good fun!

We spent some time at the Houston Museum of Natural Science.
Kirsten loved the gems. Ben enjoyed the dinosaurs. Mikayla enjoyed the astronomy section.
We saw a cool demonstration on polymers, too.

At a park near the museum they had a statue of Rizal! He is a national hero in the Philippines!

Aunt Sarah had a birthday celebration for Ben since his 'real' birthday is on August 3rd.

Aunt Sarah took us all to the zoo, too. Although it was hot and felt very much like being back in hot Davao, we had a good time there.

Saying 'see you later' to Grandpa

It was bittersweet to say 'see you later' knowing 'later' will be 2 -4 years from now.

Checking in

It's been a good summer furlough for us.

We are looking forward to holding James and Jerard again soon, too.
