Kirsten is extremely artistic and recently painted her room. I think it is lots of fun. The walls are bright yellow with purple paint splashes!

Masquerade Party......

Friday night the high schoolers had a masquerade banquet at Apo View Hotel - a local nice hotel here in Davao. Mikayla had a dress made for this occasion and made herself a mask. (It is rather inexpensive to have tailoring done here.)
She said it was a very fun night.

.....and Music

Also, on Friday night, the elementary students presented a wonderful music program.
Our school is so blessed with Laura Hultstrom, the elementary music teacher, and Nate Becker the 5th grade - High School band and music teacher.

Ben with his class waiting their turn to sing.

The second graders singing.
Each of the grades, K - 4th, sang several selections.

Birney and Nancy Boyd acted out one of the songs as the 3rd
graders sang about a farmer buying many animals. It was a
wonderful, hilarious song!

The second graders did a beautiful rendition of "This Is My
Father's World.

It's Been A While....

It's been a while since I blogged!

Mikayla recently was gone for a week for the High School
Outreach Service project in a town called Tagum. They helped
with VBS, building a building, and planting a community garden.
Overall she enjoyed the week.

Kirsten went to a party a while ago where she had to dress as a
gangster! She had fun there. It was a murder mystery party.
More recently, she and I have been painting her room bright
yellow with purple accents!

Ben recently participated in after school baseball. He also is
taking karate lessons three times a week. He really enjoys that!

James and Jerard are doing well. James is very active and talks
a lot. Jerard is rolling and crawling better.

Our outside cat recently had three kittens - Mango, Sirius, and

Flowers are gorgeous here any time of the year. It is summer
here and hotter than usual. Philippine schools are off for
summer break. Their school year starts in June.

Keep us in your prayers! Thanks!

Milestone....and a Call

Kurt says he hit a milestone today!

After being here for three years one of the many projects he's been working on is finally on-line and being used by Asia Area administrators in our organization!

He listed about 5 or 6 other projects he's been working on and how some of them are on hold as he's the only one working on it but he needs to get other projects done first.....

As he was talking I couldn't help but start praying that more computer programmers answer the call to come into missions. The need is great.

Romans 10: 14How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching? 15And how are they to preach unless they are sent?
As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who preach
the good news!"
