"Living out of the center enables us to blend for a moment into a greater background than our own fears, to merely be still and to know that God is God.
It means that I don't figure out, I don't analyze. I simply lose myself in the experience of being alive, of being in a community of believers, simply knowing that it's good to be there, even if I don't know where "there" is or why it's good.
An inner stillness assures me that it is enough right now to be centered, to be in Christ Jesus and that gratefulness is both the heart of living and the heart of prayer."
He makes me lie down in green pastures,
He leads me beside quiet waters.

Yesterday, the pastor at the church we attend preached on hiding God's word in your heart. I was convicted to start working on that again. I tend to 'go in spurts' as to working on hiding God's word in my heart....Psalm 19 is a good reminder as to why knowing God's word is so important...
Psalm 19: 7 The law of the LORD is perfect, refreshing the soul.
The statutes of the LORD are trustworthy, making wise the simple.
8 The precepts of the LORD are right, giving joy to the heart.
The commands of the LORD are radiant, giving light to the eyes.
9 The fear of the LORD is pure, enduring forever.
The decrees of the LORD are firm, and all of them are righteous.
10 They are more precious than gold, than much pure gold;they are sweeter than honey, than honey from the honeycomb.11 By them your servant is warned; in keeping them there is great reward.12 But who can discern their own errors? Forgive my hidden faults.13 Keep your servant also from willful sins; may they not rule over me.Then I will be blameless, innocent of great transgression. 14 May these words of my mouth and this meditation of my heart be pleasing in your sight, LORD

The Philippines are gorgeous.
Words fail to describe the beauty of this place.
1 The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
2 Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge.
3 They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them.
4 Yet their voice[b] goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.
In the heavens God has pitched a tent for the sun....
"The Philippines is considered the "text capital of the world". In 2006, there were an estimated 35 million cell phone subscribers in the Philippines and about 350 to 400 million SMS (Short Message Service) or text messages are sent daily. This figure was more than the total daily text messages sent in the U.S. and Europe combined. However, China has overtaken the Philippines by sheer volume of users"
Ben joined the Filipino penchant for cell phones today! He's been saving up for quite a few months and today bought himself a cell phone!!!!
I have awoken with the song "Be At Rest" by Steve Green going through my head.
It is good to know that we can rest in our loving Father's hands no matter what storms are blowing around.
Psalm 62 1 Truly my soul finds rest in God; my salvation comes from him.2 Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will never be shaken. 3 How long will you assault me? Would all of you throw me down-- this leaning wall, this tottering fence?4 Surely they intend to topple me from my lofty place; they take delight in lies. With their mouths they bless, but in their hearts they curse. 5 Yes, my soul, find rest in God; my hope comes from him.6 Truly he is my rock and my salvation; he is my fortress, I will not be shaken.7 My salvation and my honor depend on God; he is my mighty rock, my refuge.8 Trust in him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts to him, for God is our refuge.
